A sweet yet spicy margarita recipe that’s easy to make and delightful tasty

I am officially in my hostess era, which means that I need to learn how to whip up a cocktail or two. Naturally, I wanted to start by mastering my mom’s favorite cocktail, which is a Spicy Margarita. This cocktail is sweet yet spicy. It’s also surprisingly easy to make and also delightfully tasty! In short, this recipe does not disappoint. It’s also perfect for those who like a little bit of heat. 

This Spicy Margarita recipe is very easy to make and only has a few ingredients. You can also customize it to your liking by altering the quantity of certain ingredients. For example, if you like your margaritas on the sweeter side, add more honey. Feel free to even swap out the honey for agave. You can even use a jalapeno pepper instead of serrano. You can even control how spicy you make this dish by using a whole pepper, half a pepper, or just a few slices.

The most important thing to note is that making this Spicy Margarita recipe from scratch is going to give you the best results. Ditch the margarita mix and use fresh limes. The results will amaze you and you’ll come back for more. Master this recipe and you’ll be the hostess with the mostest!

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Favorite Tequila (Casamigos)
  • ½ oz Cointreau Triple Sec
  • ½ tsp Angostura Bitters
  • 2 Fresh Limes
  • Tajin for Rim
  • 1 sliced Serrano or Jalapeno
  • 1 ½ tsp Honey
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Muddle together lime, serrano pepper, and honey 
  2. Add ice, tequila, triple sec and bitters. Shake until well combined (30 secs - 1 min) 
  3. Rim glass with tajin or salt. Serve the cocktail over ice. Garnish with lime & peppers
